Responsibilities:

Commercial Solar Site Manager

The NEI Site Manager is part of the Project Team and is responsible for the oversight and management of the project construction. This includes: maintaining the project schedule to meet contract requirements;   providing direction and supervision of all field personnel and activities related to the physical construction of the project; oversight and supervision of all sub-contractors; supporting Management by monitoring and reporting any deviations in the project budget; oversight of the data management for all project data flows including submittals, RFI’s, etc.;  oversight for all quality and safety requirements on the project; requisition and planning of materials and equipment; and planning/management for all general requirements to successfully install the project on-time and within budget while maintaining required levels for quality and safety.  

​o   A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction for commercial projects, three years of that in PV systems preferred

o   In-depth knowledge of construction products, practices, subcontracting, and project workflow

o     Experience in a similar capacity on a project team for commercial projects directing crews or tradesmen in general construction, assembly, and/or electrical work

o   Detailed knowledge of construction budgets and schedules

o   Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done

o   Knowledge of major PV components (PV modules, inverters, racking systems, etc.) preferred

o   Ability to lead craftsmen and construction crews

o   Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

o   Excellent customer service skills

o   Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving, and drug screen

o   Must have a valid state driver’s license   

o   Preferred license or certification:  NABCEP, OSHA - 30

- ​Manage the project cycle for commercial PV projects
- Lead field personnel through effective and efficient installations
- Manage sub-contractors on site
- Assist the Project Manager in defining elements of work
- Monitor and document onsite progress
- Manage daily logs and pictures for the project
- Be able to complete necessary paperwork for material and equipment delivery
- Manage onsite inventory
- Additional duties required as needed
